I am a retired licensed General Contractor and Business Owner for over 40 years, managing multi-million dollar projects. My background involves many areas that are relevant to the community’s needs. Some examples include experience in developing goals and plans, gathering, working with, and managing large teams and countless experts, banking and financing, scheduling, budgets, policies, knowledge of regulations and laws, communication skills, and high-level management.
-WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO SERVE ON THE CSD BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
Bear Valley Springs has some very complex and costly infrastructure and financial needs. I decided to serve on the CSD because I felt I had a background that was relevant to the current needs of the community, and I wanted to contribute. This is my retirement home, making me personally invested and I am directly affected by any outcomes. I want to be a part of ensuring that Bear Valley Springs grows and secures a future for itself, the community, myself and my family, and for the generations to come.
-WHAT ARE YOUR PRIMARY GOALS AS A BOARD MEMBER?
My primary goal is to be a part of developing a plan that will give Bear Valley Springs a roadmap for the tough challenges ahead. I hope to accomplish this by creating coalitions and teams, inviting and encouraging community involvement, and taking inventory of the needs within the jurisdiction of the CSD. This can then be used to develop both short- and long-term comprehensive plans for our infrastructure with forward-thinking ideas, cost analysis, and full consideration for the members of our community.
-WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEAR VALLEY?
I grew up in a very small, charming, and tight-knit community. Bear Valley Springs is a unique community and offers these same benefits. My wife and I are also lifetime avid wilderness enthusiasts. We find the wilderness environment of Bear Valley Springs to be very special. It is perfect for our lifestyle as we make our way through retirement.
-IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE OUR RESIDENTS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I am committed to transparency and community involvement. I intend to fully dedicate myself to succeeding for the benefit of Bear Valley Springs and for the generations to come.
