Bear Valley CSD Interim General Manager Wes Shryock Announces Resignation
Bear Valley Community Services District Interim General Manager Wes Shryock has announced his resignation after accepting a position at another public agency.
Wes has served as the CSD’s Interim General Manager since May of 2023, following the retirement of former GM William Malinen. Wes brought the expertise of having both served as the General Manager for the Bear Valley Springs Association and being a lifelong member of the Bear Valley Community to the CSD.
“I have had the great privilege and honor of growing up, living, and working here. I want to thank the community for all their support over the years and leave current leadership with the best of wishes” said Wes Shryock. “God bless Bear Valley, and can't wait to see you all in our wonderful valley.”
Wes’ last day with the Community Services District will be Friday, November 22nd.
At their regular meeting on November 14th, the CSD Board of Directors provided an update on recruiting for the General Manager position. Applications closed on November 13 and the board has a pool of qualified applicants. Interviews are now being scheduled with those applicants. A Citizen Committee will also have the opportunity to interview qualified candidates and send feedback to the board. The board anticipates making a decision by the end of December.
