Board of Directors Approves Connection Control Policy

BEAR VALLEY COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT NOTICE OF ADOPTED ORDINANCENo. 25-259  Amending Sections 7-1-6 ofChapter 1 (Water Service Rules & Regulations) of Title 7 (Water Use &Service) of the District Code to adopt a cross connection control policypursuant to Section 3.1.3 of the Cross Connection Control Policy Handbook asrequired by the State of California regulations. The purpose of the CrossConnection Control Policy is to protect the public water system. The Board ofDirectors for the Bear Valley Community Services District does ordain asfollows: A. On December 19, 2023, the State Water Board adopted theCross-Connection Control Policy Handbook (CCCPH). The CCCPH replaces Title 17regulations on cross-connection control and backflow prevention. The effectivedate of the CCCPH is July 1, 2024. B. A cross-connection control plan (CCCPlan) that meets the CCCPH requirements must be adopted no later than July 1,2025. C. The Board desires to amend Section 7-1-6 of the District Code to be incompliance with the CCCPH. Amendment to District Code Section 7-1-6(G). Section7-1-6(G)(1) of Chapter 1 of Title 7 of the Bear Valley Community ServicesDistrict Code is amended in its entirety.
