Dain Hurst appointed Interim General Manager for Bear Valley Community Services District

In a unanimous vote Monday night, the Bear Valley Community Services District Board of Directors appointed Acting Police Chief Dain Hurst as Interim General Manager for the CSD.

Hurst joined the Bear Valley Police Department in 2019 and has served as the Acting Police Chief since January 2024.

The board also approved a contract with Municipal Solutions, a company that provides various professional executive-level consultants on an as-needed basis. The CSD has had discussions with Municipal Solutions about using their services to bring in an outside Interim General Manager. With the agreement in place, the Board will be able to interview candidates provided by Municipal Solutions, and then decide whether to utilize their services or keep Acting Chief Hurst in the Interim GM role.

The Board of Directors will be holding interviews with full-time General Manager candidates this month and is expected to make a decision soon after.
