Possible RFID Scam

The Bear Valley Community Services District has been informed of a possible scam involving fraudulent RFID purchases or renewals in our area.

Several residents have received emails and/or text messages about purchasing or renewing RFID tags. The messages claim they must click a link to avoid losing RFID gate access. These messages did not come from the CSD.

The CSD does not use email or text messages for RFID purchases or renewals. Our renewal letters are only sent by mail.

If you receive a text or email asking you to click on a link to purchase or renew a Bear Valley RFID tag, do not click it.
