Update on New RFID Tags

The Bear Valley Community Services District thanks all of your for your patience as we resolve issues with issuing new RFID tags for gate access.

As many of you know, we encountered a problem with our RFID system in early September that prevented new and renewed tags from operating. Since then the CSD team has been working diligently to fix it. However, we have encountered numerous roadblocks with both software and hardware that have prevented us from getting the system fully back online. In short- the team is working hard, but it’s proving to be more difficult than expected to fix.

We have ordered new parts that we believe will solve the problem, but they will not arrive until late November. At this point we don’t anticipate being able to issue new RFID tags until the end of the month at the earliest. Old tags issued before September 8 will continue to operate.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and assure you we are doing everything we can to solve this for you.
