Bear Valley CSD Moves Closer to Major Road Reconstruction
The Bear Valley Community Services District is getting closer to starting work on the Bear Valley Road Construction Project!
On April 16, the CSD Infrastructure Committee received an update on the design work currently being conducted by Engineering Firm Provost and Pritchard. The design work is currently on track for a 65% review. Once that is reviewed and approved, Provost and Pritchard will complete the remaining design work.
When the complete design work is finished and approved, the CSD will seek bids for the construction phase of the project. We anticipate road work beginning this summer.
The design will include a complete reconstruction of Bear Valley Road from the gate to Oakflat Drive, and from Bay Court to Martingale Way. Water main lines and service lines will also be replaced as part of the project.
The current estimate for the project is $9.3 Million. The road replacement portion will be funded from the Roads Fund, and the water line replacement portion will be funded from the Water Enterprise Fund.
When construction begins, please expect delays on our roads. The CSD will utilize Nixle, the Electronic Gate Marquee, the CSD Website, and Social Media to send timely alerts on road closures.
