The boil water notice will remain in effect until test results confirm the water is safe to drink and the CSD announces that the notice has been lifted.
The CSD has not identified any specific water-quality concerns. However, disruptions to the water system during power outages, such as those experienced over the weekend, can affect water safety. The notice was issued as a precaution.
Residents in the affected areas should continue to use bottled water or bring tap water to a full rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking or cooking. Continue following this guidance until the CSD officially lifts the notice.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE, OCTOBER 17: The Bear Valley Community Services District has issued a boil water notice for the following areas:
- Deertrail Drive, between the southern end of Surrey Way and Teal Court
- Surrey Way
- Woodview Court
- Goldspike Road

The notice includes all side roads within these areas.
The affected areas are experiencing water supply issues related to the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) and its impact on the CSD's water system.
The CSD has not identified any specific water-quality concerns. However, disruptions to the water system can affect water safety, and this notice is being issued as a precaution.
Effective immediately, residents in the affected areas should use bottled water or bring tap water to a full rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking or cooking.
The notice will remain in effect until further notice. The CSD plans to collect water samples for testing Monday morning, October 19, and will provide an update as more information becomes available. Residents should continue following this notice until the CSD announces that it has been lifted.
Residents are also encouraged to conserve water and limit nonessential water use while the water supply is affected.
As a reminder, the CSD's water system relies on generators during power outages. Conserving water during outages helps maintain the available supply.
