On December 11, 2025, the Bear Valley Community Services District Board of Directors approved a new mailbox fee. The $2.28 per month ($27.31 per year) fee will appear on your March bill.

The CSD currently spends an estimated $98,000 annually on mailbox maintenance and replacement, which is funded through the general fund. This new fee will be dedicated specifically to future mailbox maintenance, allowing general fund resources to be used for other district needs.

Property owners or residents may choose to opt out of this fee. Those who opt out will be responsible for all mailbox repairs and replacements. Opt-out mailboxes must comply with HOA, USPS, and District requirements.
