On December 11, 2025, the Bear Valley Community Services District Board of Directors approved a new mailbox fee. The $2.28 per month ($27.31 per year) fee will appear on your March bill.

The new fee will bring in an estimated $98,000 annually, which will be used to fund maintenance on Bear Valley Springs mailbox stations, including:

·      General maintenance on mailbox stations

·      Replacement of mailbox stations every 10 years

·      Blacktop repairs in front of the mailbox stations, which the CSD currently does not maintain.

The CSD currently does not charge any fees for the ongoing maintenance and replacement of mailboxes.

Property owners or residents may choose to opt out of this fee. Those who opt out will be responsible for all mailbox repairs and replacements. Opt-out mailboxes must comply with HOA, USPS, and District requirements.
