The Bear Valley CSD Transfer Station will move to a new schedule in 2025.

Starting January 1, 2025, we will be open seven days a week from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Since 2020, the Transfer Station has been open five days a week until 8:00 pm. After listening to feedback from residents and reviewing operations and services from CSD staff members, the decision was made earlier this year to move to a seven-day schedule. In mid-December, the CSD’s proposed schedule received final approval from Kern County Environmental Health.

The new schedule will reduce the number of days the Transfer Station is closed from 110 annually to 11 annually.

The Transfer Station will be closed on the following 2025 District Holidays:

• January 1- New Year’s Day
• January 20- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• February 17- Presidents’ Day
• March 31- Cesar Chavez Day
• May 26- Memorial Day
• July 4- Independence Day
• September 1- Labor Day
• November 11- Veterans Day
• November 27 & 28- Thanksgiving Holiday
• December 25- Christmas
