Paving Work on Bear Valley Road Scheduled for Oct 29 - Nov 6. Expect Additional Delays

The next major phase of the Bear Valley Road Rehabilitation Project is about to begin!
Paving is scheduled to begin tomorrow, October 29. The work was originally scheduled to start last week but was delayed due to weather.
Crews will begin paving near Sageland Court, at the end of the project farthest from the main gate, and work their way toward the gate.
Traffic impacts during paving:
• Frontage Roads: Both inbound and outbound traffic will be detoured onto the same frontage road. The route will alternate periodically as construction requires.
• Bear Valley Road: Beyond the frontage roads, traffic will be reduced to a single lane during paving.
Paving is expected to continue through Friday, November 6, weather permitting. Paving work will only be done on weekdays. Please plan for additional delays and allow extra time when traveling through the construction area.
Once paving is complete, the current 24-hour closure on Bear Valley Road will be lifted. Crews will still need to reduce sections of the road to a single lane at times as the project continues.
Thank you for your patience as we complete this major infrastructure project.
